Today we get a first look at the new cover for the Kevin Smith penned Hit-Girl: The Golden Rage of Hollywood. Smith took over the reigns for this four issue mini-series from Mark Millar who recently sold his Millarworld to Netflix. While the majority of his properties where bought by Netflix, Kick-Ass, Hit-Girl and Kingsman remain in Millars' possesion.

Kevin Smith took to Instagram late last night to announce the addition of Pernille Orum as the interior artist for the upcoming series which will debut in January with issue 13. As Smith puts it her art is "...like hot cocoa for the eyes and soul..."
Smith originally announced he would be writing the Hit-Girl series back in May not long after his heart attack scare. "I wrote most of The Golden Rage of Hollywood Hit-Girl arc while recuperating after my health scare, so it was Mindy McCready and her bloody thirst for justice who helped me mend my broken heart," Kevin Smith said. "Telling tales with Mark's toys was an absolute pleasure, but having Pernille bring it all to life makes this a must read for me!"

Smith takes Hit-Girl, who was portrayed by Chole Grace Moretz in the Kick-Ass movie, to Hollywood where the pint-sized vigilante takes her particular brand of violence on the hunt for predators. The story could not be more timely given the current climate in Hollywood and we can be sure Smith will make the most of this story line.
Hit-Girl: The Golden Rage of Hollywood will hit stores in January of 2019 with issue #13 from Image Comics.
